Description
Since the launch of the first Bpifrance fund dedicated to retail investors in 2020, Bpifrance has continued to improve accessibility by reducing the minimum investment amount tenfold, from €5,000 to €500. Bpifrance is, of course, not the only player committed to making the private equity market more accessible: insurers and financial education platforms are also playing their part. But who are these new investors? Age, amounts invested, motivations, level of knowledge: this feature profiles them and explores what ‘accessible to all’ really means, to understand who is investing in the private market today, and who might take the plunge tomorrow.
