Description
Given its geographical proximity, sectoral complementarities and shared challenges — digitalisation, energy transition and industrialisation — the Mediterranean region has significant potential for cooperation that remains largely untapped. This panel explores the levers for strengthening technological exchanges, co-investments and strategic partnerships between Southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, against a backdrop of rapid development in AI and innovation. This initiative, led by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs via the Interministerial Delegation for the Mediterranean, and organised by EuroQuity, is fully in line with the Team France approach. It builds on the experience of the Mediterranean AI Forum, which has been held for the past three years in Marseille and Tunis, and which will hold another edition in Marseille in 2026, with the aim of forging sustainable economic alliances between the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.
