Through the pivotal role played by the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship among Women and Young People (DER/FJ), Senegal has developed ambitious schemes to support the emergence, growth and internationalisation of start-ups and innovative SMEs. This workshop offers an in-depth look at this ecosystem to provide a better understanding of its key players, its high-growth sectors and the opportunities it offers to entrepreneurs, investors and international partners. It will also highlight the growing synergies between Senegal and France in the areas of innovation, investment and entrepreneurial support. Since 2022, Bpifrance EuroQuity has been supporting the DER/FJ, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Senegal, through the LIONSTECH Invest community, which is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the appeal of Senegal’s technology ecosystem. Launched in September 2022, this initiative aims to connect the most promising Senegalese start-ups with investors, business partners and support organisations in Senegal, France and internationally. Through this feedback session, participants will discover how Franco-Senegalese cooperation can facilitate access to funding, open up markets, foster the development of strategic partnerships and help innovation leaders emerge on both the African and international stages.
