Maritime transport represents 3% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions with about 100 000 ships in circulation. Now that we are conscious of the climate emergency, regulatory constraints on the carbon intensity of ships are becoming stricter and stricter. In this context, sailing technologies have a key role to play in decarbonating the sector. This panel will explore the way French maritime actors are positionning themselves on the value chain as a whole and capitalize on national skills and advantages to seize the right opportunities internationally.
