Big 2026

Description

Le Dauphiné Libéré was founded in 1945 by seven members of the Resistance belonging to the National Liberation Movement: on September 7, the first issue of the daily newspaper was published with an editorial entitled “The Free Newspaper of Free Men.” With a print run of 100,000 copies in 1945, today around 200,000 newspapers are shipped every morning from our factory in Veurey-Voroize (Isère) to meet the information needs of our 628,550 daily print readers. The only regional daily newspaper in the Alps, Le Dauphiné Libéré covers nine departments and areas bordering the mountain range, from Vaucluse to Haute-Savoie. Le Dauphiné Libéré is also one of the top four regional press websites, with 1 million visits and 3.5 million page views every day. As a source of information and content creator, Le Dauphiné Libéré is constantly adapting to market developments and diversifying its offering in line with the needs of its readers and advertisers. In the digital and “digital first” era, Le Dauphiné Libéré is rolling out its cross-media and multi-platform solutions, meeting the expectations of a diverse, curious, and engaged readership that is attached to its region and open to the world. On May 4, 2023, Le Dauphiné Libéré launched its new formula: prioritizing proximity, defending short supply chains, promoting and animating the region, and highlighting local initiatives and actors. This new tabloid format offers easier reading, new information rhythms, and new weekly features. A permanent link to the website provides additional information (photos, podcasts, videos, etc.).
